Worcester I-88 Rest Stop To Reopen

088iny-150WORCESTER – State Sen. Jim Seward, R-Milford, will hold a  press conference at noon Thursday to announce the long-closed rest stop on I-88 near here will reopen.

The senator will be joined by state Department of Transportation officials and local leaders to officially reopen the fully rehabilitated rest stop closed in 2010.

Officials will also provide an update on reopening the I-88 rest stop in Wells Bridge.

The press conference will be at the rest stop, which is located on the eastbound lanes of I-88 between exits 18 and 19.

Florida Drug Fugitive Arrested In Worcester WORCESTER – A woman who allegedly fled Florida on drug and fraud charges was located in Worcester by investigators with the Otsego County District Attorney’s Office and the DEA. Convicted felon Paula Jo Rutty, 44, was arrested after the Albany DEA received information that she was back in Upstate NY and wanted in Duval County, Fla. on on two violation of probation felony warrants: possession of a controlled substance and burglary of a structure – conveyance and fraudulent use of a credit card, issued in February after her whereabouts were unknown.…
