IN MEMORIAM: Terrence ‘Bode’ Andrews, 59;
Lived In N.C., But Stayed Loyal To Edmeston
EDMESTON – Terrence K. “Bode” Andrews, 59, of Blowing Rock, N.C., known in the Edmeston area for his extensive vinyl record collection and loyalty to Edmeston Central, passed away on June 2, 2018, in Cooperstown, surrounded by his family.
Bode was born in New Berlin on May 1, 1959, the son of Earl Claire Andrews, and Dorothy Kirk Tilbe.
He graduated from Edmeston Central School, Class of 1977. Following graduation, his travels brought him to Blowing Rock, where he spent most of his adult life, working in food service at the Blowing Rock Country Club for many years.
He was an avid Yankee fan. His extensive collection of vinyl albums included many from his favorite band, The Beatles. Even while away for many years, he remained a big fan of the ECS Panthers, and attended many school events when visiting home.
He is survived by his mother Dorothy “Dottie” (Fred) Tilbe of Edmeston, his father Earl Claire Andrews of Edmeston, brothers Larry Andrews of North Carolina, David (Denisse) Andrews of Westminster, Colo., Pat (Luis) Gomez of Boulder, Colo., and Kellee (Ricardo) Esposito of Hurley, Ulster County. Also nieces and nephews Nicholas Andrews, Brittany (Travis) Sneith, Paul Esposito, Matthew Esposito, Dominic Esposito, Alexander Gomez, and Adrianna Gomez, special friends that he considered family George and Leann Meyers, and many other friends and co-workers that he loved dearly.
Bode was blessed to have his brother Larry at his side during his illness. The entire family is thankful for his dedication to his brother.
Bode’s family would like to thank the second-floor Bassett nurses for excellent care, and Hospice for thoughtful guidance. In addition Pastors Jay Henderson and Andy Johnson were a blessing to the family during this difficult time. They would also like to recognize the Seby Jones Cancer Center staff and Paul Young in Boone, N.C.
