IN MEMORIAM: Harriet J. Hotaling, 91

DAVENPORT – Harriett J. Hotaling, 91, passed away peacefully Nov. 2, 2017, at Focus Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 27, 1926, in Davenport, the daughter of William and Grace (Pendell) Graig. She graduated from Charlotte Valley Central School in 1943.

Harriett married William O’Donnell on Aug. 27, 1946. They had three children, Patricia Austin, Timothy (Sue) O’Donnell, and Bonnie (Jeff) Parslow.

William passed away on June 15, 1966. Harriett married Allen Hotaling on Sept. 11, 1966; they had a daughter,  Elise (Robert) Jorgensen.

Harriett also had four step-children, Cindy (Jim) Chamberlain, Patty (Jay) Reichenbach, Terry (Nancy) Hotaling, and Allen Jr. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren 28 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her second husband Allen, a grandson Graig Austin, son-in-law William Austin, granddaughters Brenna Utter and Amanda Parslow.

Calling hours are 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at the United Presbyterian Church in Davenport, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service in the Davenport Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the United Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 184 Davenport, N.Y. 13750 in Harriett’s memory.
