East Meredith Man Killed

In Kortright Car Accident

KORTRIGHT – A 58-year-old East Meredith man was killed after his truck veered off the road and struck a culvert yesterday evening in the Town of Kortright.

In responding to a 911 report of a motor-vehicle accident on West Kortright Church Road, state troopers determined that Michael C. Berry was driving a 1996 Dodge Ram pickup truck southeast when he left the road for an unknown reason.  He struck a culvert, causing the truck to overturn.

Berry was transported by ambulance to Fox Hospital in Oneonta, where he was pronounced deceased from internal injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
