IN MEMORIAM:  Randolph W. Hill, 80; Marine, Entepreneur

DAVENPORT – Randolph W. Hill, 80, of Davenport, a Marine and entrepreneur, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Bassett Hospital.


He was born April 22, 1935 in New River, Va., the son of the late Randolph and Marjorie (Clark) Hill.

Randy proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

He owned and operated Allout Carpet Cleaning for many years, a successful business he was very proud of.

Randy enjoyed bowling but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Randy is survived by his former wife, Helen Hill of Davenport; his daughter, Arleen and Paul Goscinski; two grandchildren, John Welton and Lauren Welton; four great grandchildren, Catherin Welton, Dominic Huestis, Shailene Welton and Juliette Welton; son-in-law, William Calchi. He was predeceased by his daughter, Diane Welton-Calchi.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, Oneonta. A service to celebrate his life will immediately follow at 1 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Warrior Canine Connection, 23222 Georgia Avenue, Brookeville, MD 20833 in loving memory of Randolph W. Hill.
