Cooperstown girls
stay undefeated in softball
with big win over SV

Katie Crippen went 3-for-3 and scored four runs and Dani Seamon homered and scored three runs as Cooperstown stayed undefeated in softball with a 12-3 Center State Conference win over visiting Sauquoit Valley on Tuesday, June 1.

Marley Lippitt got the win for Cooperstown, giving up two runs on six hits, striking out seven batters. She only got in trouble once in the game, allowing two runs in the fifth inning on a series of singles, a bunt and a sacrifice.

Seamon’s two-out, one-on first inning homer set the tone for the game, and the Hawkeyes followed up with a six-run third inning that included RBI from Ellie Hotaling, Emile Amore and Jeana Geertgens.

Cooperstown (9-0) plays at West Canada Valley at 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 2.
