  1. I am pleased to see the Hartwick Board of Trustees support their President as she takes steps to meet the challenges that confront all Liberal Arts Colleges across the country. All institutions who want to survive challenging times, must reinvent themselves to meet changing conditions. Fortunately, she recognizes that staying stagnant with decisions made for another time only assures that the institution will not be sustainable. Oh that her faculty could only see the wisdom of her attempts to find the right changes to make and help!
