Inmate Charged With Assault

After Dustup In County Jail

COOPERSTOWN – An Otsego County Jail inmate has been charged with second-degree assault after a fight inside the jail, county sheriff’s deputies report.

The incident occurred yesterday, when Leroy Holley, 38, of Binghamton, allegedly struck and caused minor injuries to the other inmate during the altercation, it was reported today.

The defendant was arraigned in the Town of Otsego Court and sent back on $2,500 cash

or $5,000 bond.  He is due to reappear in Town of Middlefield Court Monday.
