Oneonta, CCS Candidates Debate Tonight

School board candidates in both the Oneonta City School District and Cooperstown Central School District will appear at public forums this evening at 7 p.m., both sponsored by chapters of the League of Women Voters.

The Oneonta forum is in the large instruction room in OHS’ science wing. Cooperstown’s is in the middle/high school cafeteria.

In Oneonta, six candidates are running for three seats: Karen Brown, Amy Burnsworth, Dan Butterman, Darren Gaisford, George F. Palladino and Evelina Richardson.

In Cooperstown, four candidates are running for two seats: Tim Hayes, David Petri, Theresa Russo and Jean Schifano.

School elections and budget votes are Tuesday, May 20.
