IN MEMORIAM: Ralph C. Dubben, 93;

Schenevus Native, Gilbertsville Trustee

GILBERTSVILLE – Ralph C. Dubben, 93, of Gilbertsville, passed away peacefully at Chase Memorial Nursing Home & Rehabilitation in New Berlin on June 4, 2019.

Ralph was born on May 20, 1926 in Schenevus,  and was a son of the late Albert J. and Susie (Ritchey) Dubben. On September 18, 1948 Ralph married the former Louise Risley in Binghamton, a blessed union until her death on Jan. 25, 2012.

Ralph was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gilbertsville where he served as an elder for many years. He was also a village trustee for the Village of Gilbertsville. Ralph enjoyed various types of woodworking and putting together the musical sets for the Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton School play. In his spare time, Ralph enjoyed attending high school basketball games.

Ralph is survived by his loving family; his daughter Lucinda Dubben; grandchildren, Allison (Brian) Pianoforte, Robert Dubben, Andrea (Ryan) Pennell, Megan (Brandon) Earl, Nathan Dubben and Kyle Dubben; great-grandchildren Holden, Emmalynn, Victoria, Amelia, Cameron and Hudson; his sister Caroline (Geary) Whiteman; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Steven and Robin Hughes. Ralph was also predeceased by one brother, two sisters and his son Gary.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, at the First Presbyterian Church of Gilbertsville with Rev. Mark Piedmonte, officiating. A burial will follow at the Brookside Cemetery in Gilbertsville.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ralph’s name to the First Presbyterian Church of Gilbertsville, P.O. Box 314, Gilbertsville, NY 13776.
