HARTWICK – “Around Hartwick,” the newest addition to Arcadia Publishing’s “Images of America” series, is scheduled to be released July 27 by the Hartwick Historical Society.

The book contains over 200 vintage images, many never-before published, and showcases memories of days gone by.

“Around Hartwick” depicts the history of the rural town at Otsego County’s geographical center.

Named for John Christopher Hartwick, an itinerant German preacher with the dream of a “New Jerusalem” church and school, the town became the site of the first Lutheran Theological Association in America.
