IN MEMORIAM: Margery H. Holdridge, 94;

NYCM Retiree Attended One-Room School

Margery Holdridge

EDMESTON – Margery Holdridge, 94, of Edmeston, an NYCM retiree who, as a girl, rode a horse-drawn school-bus buggy to attend a one-room school, died Tuesday Oct. 29, 2019, at Chase Nursing Home in New Berlin.

Born March 5, 1925, she was the daughter of Ray. C. Hull and Florence (Pugh) Hull. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard (Dick) Holdridge, July 23, 1949, in Burlington Flats. He predeceased her on Jan. 31, 2015.

She was raised in Burlington Flats and attended the one-room elementary school house there by horse-drawn school-bus buggy.
