Yvonne F. Page, 83;

Ran Otsego County 4-H horse program

ONEONTA – Yvonne F. Page, 83, passed away peacefully at Noland Hospital in Dothan, Alabama on Monday, May 10, 2021.

Yvonne was born on March 16, 1938 in Summit, NJ and was a daughter of the late Gaston and Aurore (Brunette) Fichot, Sr. On June 7, 1958 she married Charles Page, Sr. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, New Market, NJ.

Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, Charles Sr., son, Perry Sr., daughter-in-law, Geralyn Page, along with many siblings, their spouses and in-laws.

Yvonne put her heart and soul into everything that she did. She was actively involved in whatever activities that her children and grandchildren where involved in. She enjoyed trail riding her horses with her family and grandchildren. She taught many how to ride horses and basic horsemanship. She was a leader of the New Lisbon Farm Bugs, the Buckaroos and the Morris Unicorns 4-H clubs for over 35 years.

She took great pride in running the Otsego County 4-H horse program along with many of her friends.

Along with Charles, she helped organize many benefit horse rides for both the American Cancer Society and Catskill Area Hospice.

She worked many jobs early in life, none more important than Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. She spent many years working for FN Burt/Burt Rigid Box in Oneonta, NY, taking great pride in advancing from working on the factory floor to the Administration office, falling back on her office training from her life in
New Jersey.

Yvonne is survived by her loving partner, Johnny Garner; Children, Charles Jr. (Debbie) Page, Perry Sr. (Deceased) (Jennifer) Page, Yvonne (Arthur) Lyons, Julia (Lawrence) Althiser, Aurore (Christopher) Perrine; grandchildren, Charles III (Kaila) Page, Tiffany (Sam) Schlosser, Jessica Althiser, Christopher (Sara) Page, Brendan Page, Tracy Kokell, Camlyn Lyons, Sarah Kokell, Melanie Lyons, Perry Page Jr., Megan Perrine and Lillian Perrine; great-grandchildren, Logan Schlosser, Giana Schlosser, Lacey Sue Short, and Geralyn Page. In addition, she is survived by her brother George (Gloria) Fichot. Yvonne was extremely fortunate to add another family in Alabama, honorary children: Andrea (Terrance) McLendon, Renee Garner; Grandchildren, Libbi McLendon and Hannah Beckworth; honorary siblings: Thomas (Ann Dora) Garner, Ann Phillips, Harold (Gail) Phillips. Yvonne also had many special friends, nieces, nephews and extended family that touched her life.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Yvonne’s life on Saturday, July 24, 2021, the family is currently finalizing arrangements. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to, Helios Care “Catskill Area Hospice” 297 River Street Service Rd., Oneonta, NY 13820 and Otsego County (NY) 4-H, 31 Maple St, Oneonta, NY 1382.

Her family has entrusted her care to the professionals at Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris, NY and the Faqua Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, AL.

In Memoriam: Herbert James Kozak

Herbert James Kozak (Jim), 83, of Cooperstown, New York, passed away at Bassett Medical Center on Thursday, December 4, 2025. Jim was born March 25, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Herbert James and Therese Marie (Fischer) Kozak. After high school, Jim attended art school and worked in the hotel business. He worked his way up the ladder at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Illinois and later went on to be catering manager at Sawmill Creek Resort in Sandusky, Ohio and finally became the director of conference services at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York, where he worked until retirement.…
