I know you mean no ill-intent, but I think you should examine your use of the qualifier “Lady” in “Lady Hawkeyes.” There is no need to use a qualifier – they are Cooperstown Hawkeyes, period…equal to a boys team, but Champions, so more successful athletes. Using a qualifier like “Lady” is at a minimum outdated style, but may also suggest a bias against girls/women’s athletics. (You don’t call boys teams “Gentleman Hawkeyes” for a reason.) I’m not simply being “PC” – a conclusion you may come to with some introspection. Thanks!
