HARTWICK – Sheriff’s deputies and rescue vehicles at this hour are at the scene of a one-vehicle crash on Route 45, just west of Schidzik Road, in the Town of Hartwick.

It appeared a green SUV, eastbound toward Route 28, had slid on wet and slushy pavement and smashed, head-on, into the abutment of a bridge over a small creek.

No word on injuries were immediately available.
