Candidate Yandik Greeted

Congressional candidate Will Yandik chats with former Otsego Town Supervisor Tom Breiten and his wife Leslie, on arriving a few minutes ago at a reception in his honor at the Cooperstown home of Melinda Hardin and Lou Allstadt. Yandik, a farmer and Livingston town board member in Ulster County, is vying with Zephyr Teachout in the April 19 Democrat primary for the 19th District seat being vacated by the retirement of U.S. Rep. Chris Gibson, R-Kinderhook. The Democratic county committee endorsed Teachout on Feb. 10, but his appearance at the Cooperstown caucus won over a number of attendees.
