Top Cotillion Awards Presented

To Nora Jensen, Logan Doucas

Each year, the Corinne Hillman Award is presented to one eighth grade young lady and one eighth grade gentleman who show an aptitude for the new dance steps that they learned during the Monday evening classes, but also show respect for themselves, their peers in class, the adult chaperones and the dance instructors. The award is named for long-time Cooperstown Cotillion dance instructor, Corinne Hillman. Corinne led the Monday evening classes for over 30 years. This year, the award was presented to Miss Nora Jensen and Mr. Logan Doucas.
Young dancers Nora Jensen and Logan Doucas received the Corinne Hillman Award from dance instructors Todd and Alma Curtis at the annual Cooperstown Cotillion, held Friday at The Otesaga.  The award, named for a long-time dance instructor, is presented to “one eighth-grade young lady and one eighth-grade gentleman who show an aptitude for the new dance steps” learned during Monday evening lessons leading up to the event, according to Roger Lansing, Cotillion committee co-chair.
