IN MEMORIAM: Mary Elizabeth Laing, 82,

Oneonta; Survivors Include 3 Daughters

Mary Elizabeth Koury Laing

ONEONTA – Mary Elizabeth Koury Laing, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, after a short illness.

She was born in Cranford, N.J. on Aug. 31, 1934, to Selean and Margaret Koury.

She attended Oneonta High school and held jobs at Homer Folks Hospital, Bendix Corp. and Corning Glass retiring in 1997.

After High School she married Dominic Langellotti and they had three daughters, Antoiniette, Lisa and Gina. She later married Gerold Laing of Franklin in 1983.

Mary enjoyed decorating her home for the seasons and preparing wonderful meals for friends and family on holidays. She liked having lunches with the girls from Corning, going to movies and occasionally the casino.

Predeceased by her sister Jane, she is survived by her sister Ella May and brothers William and Selean; three  daughters Toni, Lisa and Gina; three grandchildren James Burns, Dawn Marie Thompson and Koury Nusen; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the spring.
