Fire Gutted Structure March 12

An Eastman Associates demolition crew this morning began flattening the remains of the Milford United Methodist Church gutted by fire on March 12. After taking down the main building, plans are to topple the tower on the bed of rubble, so the bell may be retrieved, according to Bill Triolo, church trustee, who was watching the demolition.   In photo, Mike French of Unadilla drives the excavator, Mike Sherlock of Cooperstown hoses down rubble to prevent asbestos from getting airborne.
