Heavenly Heron

Mary Jane O’Malley of Cooperstown sent along this stunning shot of a heron during a “take off” this week near Cooperstown’s Fairy Spring Park on the east side of Otsego Lake. “I was in my kayak and he/she was trying to get away from me,” Mary Jane reports. She was responding to our invitation, after that bold bear appeared Wednesday Brigitte Priem’s deck in that same neighborhood, to share wildlife photos by sending images to jimk@allotsego.com.  Join in!  “Hope I’ll see the bear on shore next time I go out!” said O’Malley.
