Northbound Route Out Of Schenevus

To Be Closed 2 Days For Culvert Work

SCHENEVUS – The Otsego County Highway Department will be closing County Route 34, the main route north out of this community, the week of Aug. 28 to replace a large cross culvert, county Highway Superintendent Bill Mason announced.

The closing is approximately 2 1/2 miles north of State Route 7, Town of Maryland, at the Barton Farm.   Drivers can use Sperry Hollow Road, Stanley Roseboom Road, and Badeau Hill Road to circumvent the closure. Weather permitting, the work is expected to take no more than two days.
