Out Of The Darkness’ Walk

Remembers Loved Ones Lost

Above,  James Santic and wife Susan, Sidney Center, and Natalie Raymond and sister Hailey carry the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention  banner at the at the annual “Out Of The Darkness” Walk for suicide prevention at the Moose Lodge in Oneonta this morning, the final day of National Suicide Prevention Week. Family and friends gathered to remember loved ones with photos, speeches and music before walking from West Broadway to River Street and back in support for each other. At right, as the names of the dead are read aloud, a balloon is released by their family in their honor.  Lydia Soule, sister Rebekah, and mother Amy, Harpersfield, front,  and Aaron Vergari and wife Anna, Oneonta, rear, watch as the balloons drift heavenward.
