Sidewalk Repairs, New Trees

Contrary to what the occasional wag might tell you, Cooperstown was never a Tree City, USA, that badge of honor conferred by the Arbor Day Foundation. It's just as well, as Central Paving Crews Tuesday completed removal of trees on the south side of Main Street between Chestnut and Pioneer, preparing for the second half of a $2 million sidewalk project.
