IN MEMORIAM: Clifford Yager, 82;

Clifford E. Yager

OTEGO – Clifford E. Yager, 82, who operated Clifford Yager Painting for many years, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Oneonta.

He was born Jan. 21, 1936, in Oneonta, the son of the late Clifford Yager and Elsie (Hungerford) Shumway.  Clifford served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing.

Clifford is survived by his children, Linda Yager Salisbury, Schenectady, Allen (Silvia) Yager, Schenectady, Clifford (Christina) Yager, Tennessee, Randy (Kim) Yager, Worcester, and Tim (Deb) Yager, Kansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Francis and Yvonne Yager, Guilford, Wayne and Dorothy Yager, Esperance, and Darrel and Joan Yager, Union Springs; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, James Yager.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, in the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta, with the Rev. Stephen D. Fournier officiating.
