Delgado Picks District Director
As Point Of Contact With County
Amanda Boomhower of Greene County, who has held staff positions with three congressmen, will be district director in the 19th Congressional District, which includes Otsego County, Congressman-elect Antonio Delgado announced today.
She would be the point of contact for local constituents, and oversee county offices.
Boomhower most recently worked as special assistant in the state Office of General Services.
She previously worked as federal liaison for Congressman Maurice Hinchey, the Hudson Valley Democrat, handling constituent inquiries pertaining to the U.S. Departments of State, Homeland Security, Defense, Veterans Affairs and Education.
Boomhower has also worked as deputy district director for Congressman Scott Murphy, a position that included managing his regional office in Hudson, having been promoted from regional representative and constituent representative.
She began her career with Kirsten Gillibrand, when the U.S. senator was a Hudson Valley congressman, assisting with constituent services.
Boomhower is a graduate of Skidmore College and Columbia Greene Community College. She lives in Athens, Greene County.
