IN MEMORIAM: Rachel ‘Pat’ Proctor, 78,

Worcester; Retired From SUNY Cobleskill

WORCESTER – Rachel M. “Pat” Proctor, 78, a 20-year SUNY Cobleskill employee, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at her home in Worcester.

She was born on Sept. 10, 1940 in Schenectady, the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Bourdeau) Whitney.

Pat married Maylon A. Proctor Sr. on July 8, 1958. They were married for 47 years until his death on Jan. 30, 2006.

In addition to working for SUNY Cobleskill, she was a member of the Cobleskill Fire Department Auxiliary.

Above all, Pat loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed Angels and Christmas was her favorite time of year.

She is survived by her children, Maylon A. Proctor Jr., Dorothy LaRock and her husband Chris, Charlene Tiffany and her husband Alan, and Tim Proctor; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren with two more on the way, her sister Marjorie Mais and her husband Robert and several nieces and nephews.

Pat was predeceased by her father Edward, mother Dorothy Corlew, step-father Nathan Corlew Sr. and her two brothers, Edward Whitney and Nathan Corlew Jr.

A funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. David Daley officiating. Calling hours will be from 1 p.m. until the service begins at 3.

Burial will take place at the East Worcester Cemetery at a later date.

Contributions may be made in loving memory of Pat to the Cancer Society of one’s choice.
