Big Winners At Cooperstown Carnival

COOPERSTOWN – The return of the Lip Sync brought victory to the CCS teachers, who took first prize with their performance of “Tootsee Roll” by the 69 Boyz, complete with Tootsie Roll costumes, in Cooperstown Winter Carnival competition.

Bocca Osteria won the drink contest with their “Everlasting Gobstopper,” which was available for customization with green,  purple, white or red.

In Memoriam: James S. Bridger

James S. Bridger, a native of Cooperstown known by many as Foxy or Jim, passed away late Saturday morning, January 24, 2026, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown following a lengthy illness. He was 80. Born February 27, 1945 at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, Jim was the only child of Norman C. and Clara (Sprague) Bridger.…
