OHS grad Jim Anderson, runningback on Syracuse’s 1959 national champion football team, has passed away in Arizona

 

ONEONTA – James Frazier Anderson, 81, of San Tan Valley, Ariz., the OHS graduate who went on to play on Syracuse University’s 1959 national championship football team, passed away from colon cancer on Jan. 4, 2019.
Born at home in a farmhouse in Treadwell, he was the son of the late Elmer and Margaret Anderson.
Jim led an amazing life! He attended Oneonta High School, Class of 1955, where he excelled as an athlete and was inducted in the Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 6, 2007.
