HAULIN’ ICE AT

HANFORD MILLS HARVEST

 

Karl Wietzel, Cooperstown, helps haul freshly cut ice from the lake at Hanford Mills, where they were helping pack the ice house as part of the annual Ice Harvest on Saturday, Feb. 2. Behind him, Ales Lien, Milford and Kevin Umhey, Shokan, move the ice into position to be pulled out.

WHELIHAN LAUDED: Lee Whelihan, Cherry Valley, was named to the Dean’s List at the College of Saint Rose for the Fall 2018 semester.

TWO ON LIST: Ian and Teagen Bolin, Edmeston, were both named to the Fall 2018 Dean’s List at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.

WOODWORTH TOPS: Anna Woodworth, Cherry Valley, was named to the Dean’s List at SUNY New Paltz for the Fall 2018 semester.

IN MEMORIAM:  Debra R. Keane, 64, Oneonta ONEONTA – Debra R. Keane, 64, a shift leader at Hannaford for many years, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 at Bassett Hospital. She was born March 27, 1953 in Oneonta, the daughter of the late Thomas and Betty Riley. She was a loving and kind person with a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.  She had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.…
