Bassett Healthcare Network Welcomes New Practitioners in July

COOPERSTOWN—Seven new practitioners joined the Bassett Healthcare Network during the month of July, working out of a number of locations.
Debra Dermady-Ray, ANP-BC, has joined Bassett Healthcare Network as an adult nurse practitioner with Internal Medicine at Valley Health Services, 690 West German Street, Herkimer.
As an adult nurse practitioner, Dermady-Ray is an integral member of a skilled nursing home care team that provides medical supervision, rehabilitative therapies, and daily living assistance for residents managing acute or chronic conditions, officials said. She works with geriatric adult patients in need of long-term care.
Dermady-Ray earned her adult nurse practitioner degree from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is welcoming new patients by appointment.
Jennifer Fuller, FNP, has joined Bassett Healthcare Network as a family nurse practitioner with Internal Medicine at Bassett Prime Care, 1 Atwell Road, Clinic Building, Cooperstown. Fuller provides general family medicine and wellness to patients ages 18 and up.
Fuller earned her nursing degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in Syracuse. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Adam Howe, MD, FAAP, has joined Bassett Healthcare Network as an attending surgeon in Pediatric Urology at Bassett Medical Center, 1 Atwell Road, Cooperstown; A.O. Fox Hospital, 1 Norton Avenue, Oneonta; Little Falls Hospital, 140 Burwell Street, Little Falls; FoxCare Center, 1 FoxCare Drive, Oneonta; and Herkimer Specialty Services, 321 East Albany Street, Herkimer. He is accepting new patients by both appointment and referral.
Dr. Howe specializes in urological care for children, but sees urology patients of all ages. He treats conditions such as chronic bed-wetting, labial and penile anomalies, recurrent urinary tract infections, undescended testicles, and congenital abnormalities of the kidney, bladder, and urogenital tract. He performs a variety of procedures, including circumcisions and circumcision revisions, pediatric inguinal hernia repairs, robotic surgery for kidney anomalies, UPJ obstruction treatment (pyeloplasty), and ureteral re-implantation.
Dr. Howe earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed two residencies at Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio and the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed his fellowship in pediatric urology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center at Northwell Health School of Medicine in New Hyde Park. He is certified by the American Board of Urology in both urology and pediatric urology.
Rani Kapur-Pado, DO, has joined Bassett Healthcare Network as an attending physician specializing in internal medicine at Bassett Health Center Sidney, 39 Pearl Street, Sidney. She provides comprehensive primary care to patients ages 18 and up and is accepting new patients by appointment.
Dr. Kapur-Pado earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed both her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Darshana Patel, FNP-BC, has joined Bassett Healthcare Network as a family nurse practitioner in Virtual Health. She provides care to patients through Bassett’s On Demand Video Visits service, as well as for annual wellness visits.
Patel earned her nursing degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Georgiana Recile, PA, who goes by Gina, has joined Bassett Healthcare Network as a physician assistant with Neurosurgery at Bassett Medical Center and Oneonta Specialty Services.
Along with the rest of the Neurosurgery team, Recile provides care to patients referred for neurosurgical procedures.
Recile earned her master of physician assistant studies from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. She is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
Katherine Ramiza, BSN, MSN, PNP, PMHNP, has joined Bassett Healthcare Network as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with the Psychiatry Department at Bassett Medical Center. Ramiza provides psychiatric care to patients.
Ramiza earned her degrees from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia and the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute in Utica. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as both a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner.
