Congressman Gibson Pays Election-Day Visit

Congressman Chris Gibson, R-19, chats with Bill Glockler, a Cooperstown Rotarian and his Otsego County campaign manager in 2012, during a stop a few minutes ago at the Rotary Club's Election Day Pancake Fest at the Cooperstown Vets Club. With him are his wife, Mary Jo, and his Cooperstown aide, former mayor Carol B. Waller. WUTR's Corey Fisher films the tableau. Despite a 23-point lead in the latest Siena Poll over his Democratic challenger, Sean Eldridge, Gibson planned stops today in every county in his district – from his native Columbia to Rensselaer, Otsego, Ulster, Dutchess and Greene – before returning to his home area for an anticipated victory celebration this evening.
