PAT SZARPA HANDS IN RESIGNATION

COOPERSTOWN – Patricia Szarpa has resigned as executive director of the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce, effective immediately, it was announced a few moments ago.  She has held the position since April 2012.

“I thank the Cooperstown Chamber members and Board of Directors for their support during my tenure. I am now looking forward to pursuing new opportunities,” Szarpa said on tendering her resignation.

Ken Meifert, president of the Chamber board, said,  “The Board thanks Patricia for her service and we look forward to continued success for the Chamber and will begin a search for a new executive director immediately. The Board has a plan in place to ensure that the Chamber operations continue to be fully supported through the busy summer season.”
