Firefighters At SFCU Headquarters

SIDNEY – The Oneonta Fire Department at 8 a.m. was called to respond to a fire at the headquarters her of Sidney Federal Credit Union, where smoke was reported issuing from the upper two floors.

No further details were immediately available, but a witness at the scene said no flames were visible.  Whatever the source – perhaps lightning from last night’s downpour – the situation was reported under control by 9:30.
