Mace Reynolds, 90, Cooperstown;

Retired President Of Bendix Corp.

COOPERSTOWN – Word has been received that J. Mason Reynolds, 90, president of the Bendix Corp.’s automotive sector who retired to Cooperstown in the 1990s, has passed away in Florida.

A captain of industry, Mr. Reynolds – known to all locally as “Mace” – was with Bendix for much of his career, which spanned 1948-1993.  During part of his tenure at Bendix, it owned the current Amphenol plant in Sidney, the region’s largest manufacturer.

Arrangements are underway, and a full obituary will be forthcoming.
