The Milford softball team closed out its season Thursday, June 3, with a 27-13 win over visiting Laurens in the second round of the Tri-Valley League playoffs.
Winning pitcher Leeanna West recorded 13 strikeouts, helping Milford secure a fifth place finish in the league for 2021.
West, Tionna Stone, Tia Vagliardo and Kara Mertz all had multiple-hit games for Milford.
Mertz capped her huge day at the plate in the sixth inning when a bases loaded triple netted her 3 RBI.
Milford (8-4) will lose two players to graduation, Stone and Vagliardo.
