Berth At National Spelling Bee

Monica Dugan, Morris, with her first place award at the conclusion of 13th Annual Regional Spelling Bee at was held in Goodrich Theater on morning. She will be representing our region in Washington D.C when she competes in the Scribbs National Spelling Bee Contest. "I like the challenge of spelling." she said. After 13 rounds of elimination, Monica Dugan, Morris, stands triumphant with her first place award from the 13th annual Scripps Howard Regional Spelling Bee, held in Goodrich Theater on Saturday morning. She will be representing our region in Washington D.C when she competes in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.  “I like the challenge of spelling.” she said. “At first I was studying an hour a day, but for the last week I have been studying 5 hours a day.”   She is the daughter of Dr. David Dugan, who has an oral surgery practice in in Oneonta, and Mary J.
