First, I’d like to commend you on your editorial of July 30th (“The Agony and the Ecstacy”). It’s refreshing to read that you always try to remain neutral with the political back and forth.

Second, I so much enjoy the letters and columns of Waldo Johnston and Francis Sempa, and wish there were more of them!

Therefore, I could barely believe that you received a lengthy “diatribe” from a reader berating you for publishing their columns and saying he was “disgusted” and “disappointed.” Is this reader living in America or is he time-warped back to the old Soviet Union? You can only have an opinion that (whoever he is) agrees with? Unbelievable.

I’ve been meaning to write previously to say how much I enjoyed the articles of these two men. Your editorial and its contents finally got me to write!
