New Bassett CFO Recruited

Mike Tengeres

COOPERSTOWN – Michael Tengeres, senior director of international finance operations at the Cleveland Clinic, will join the Bassett Healthcare Network on April 6 as corporate vice president and chief financial officer, it was announced this afternoon.

He succeeds Nick Nicoletta, who retired at the end of 2014 after three decades with the Bassett system.

Tengeres will be financial, insurance, capital, debt and overall financial strategist for the Bassett corporation and its six hospitals, Community Care of Bassett, At Home Care, Templeton Foundation and Friends of Bassett, according to the announcement.

The new CFO was raised in Buffalo, received a bachelor’s from SUNY Buffalo and an MBA from the University of Rochester.  He began his career at the U of R Medical Center before moving on to Baltimore and then Cleveland. He has family in Rochester.
