IN MEMORIAM: Robert Sakellarides, 60;

Ran Tally Ho Restaurant, West Davenport

WEST DAVENPORT – Robert Sakellarides, 60, proprietor of the Tally Ho Restaurant since 1989,  passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at his residence.

Rob was born on May 31, 1955 in Glen Cove, the son of Jack and Agnes Ann (Novak) Sakellarides.  He attended culinary school on Long Island.   He operated the Tally Ho, which is now closed, for a quarter-century.

He enjoyed spending all of his free time with his two daughters and his parents. He was passionate about everything he did, especially golf, riding his motorcycles, flying helicopters and gardening. Several times a week Rob would enjoy making healthy meals with his parents.

Rob is survived by his daughters, Stacy Giffin and her son, Cole of California, and Melissa Smith of North Carolina; his parents Agnes and Jack Sakellarides of Oneonta, and his sisters, Valerie Allana and Johanna O’Neill.

A gathering of family and friends will is planned 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the Oneonta American Legion on Chestnut Street.

  1. Absolutely loved everything about the tally ho would always b welcomed no matter how late riding on our Harley I am so sorry for this loss always in my heart!!!
