One-Car Crash Kills

Driver In Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD – Oneonta state troopers are investigating a one-vehicle crash that killed a 50-year-old male in the early morning hours Saturday in the Town of Pittsfield.

The man, whose name has not been released pending notification of the family, was driving northbound on County Route 18 at approximately 5:35 a.m.  when he drove off the road, striking a tree.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy has been scheduled at Fox Hospital.
