Ribbon-Cutting Done, Land Trust
Invites Public To Walk New Trail
Attorney Les Sittler cuts the ribbon this afternoon, opening the Otsego Land Trust’s Parslow Road Conservation Area to the public. The Land Trust’s Marcie Foster and Ethan Rubenstein hold the ribbon. Sittler helped arrange the easement on the former Barry and Joyce Clark property outside Fly Creek. The conservation area includes a 950-foot trail connecting to nearby Oaks Creek, a further enhancement to the Otsego Land Trust Blueway, a series of Land Trust owned and protected properties that provide fishing, hiking, paddling, bird watching and other outdoor activities between Deowongo Island in Canadarago Lake and Compton Bridge on Route 11C, where Oaks Creek enters the Susquehanna. The Land Trust has invited the public to a to bird watch, a free pancake breakfast and a tour of the property this Saturday. (Jim Kevlin/allotsego.com)
