IRS Call Scam Hits Cooperstown

‘IRS Calls’ A Scam, Chief Says COOPERSTOWN – Five Cooperstown senior citizens have reported receiving calls in recent days from people claiming to be IRS agents, according to Police Chief Michael Covert. The callers claim payments must be made immediately or an arrest warrant will be issued.  “It’s a scam,” he said.
