Kersten, 70, of Worcester, who trained champion golden retrievers here for three decades, passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was born on Dec. 15, 1948, in Manhattan, the daughter of John S. and Mary (Henchel) Bliven. Barbara owned and operated Lothlorien Goldens for more than 30 years.
