76-Year-Old Man Flees Burning Otego House OTEGO – A 76-year-old man fled a burning Otego home on 470 County Route 5 this morning but had no way to call 911, and the home was destroyed, state police at Troop C report. Troopers from the Oneonta Barracks received the call at 1:09 a.m. The elderly man, identified at Robert Carpenter, the sole occupant of the home, was spotted by a passerby, and that person called 911.…
