IN MEMORIAM: David Thuma, 57; 26-Year Radiology Tech At Bassett COOPERSTOWN – David John Thuma, 57, a 26-year radiology technologist at Bassett Hospital, died unexpectedly Monday, July 11, 2016. Of Czechoslovakian and Polish ancestry, David was born May 6, 1959, in Riverhead and raised in Yaphank on Long Island.  He was the second of three boys  of Charles Frederick Thuma, Sr. and Frances Szuster Thuma.
