Dorothy ‘Dot’ Smith, 79; Matriarch of Spurbeck’s COOPERSTOWN – Dorothy “Dot” Smith, 79, who ran the venerable Spurbeck’s Grocery for two decades alongside her husband Roger, died Saturday, Sept. 29 after a long illness.
