IN MEMORIAM:  Charles Briscoll, 87; Air Force Vet, Oneonta Businessman ONEONTA – Charles “Chuck” Briscoll, Air Force veteran and partner in the former S+S Liquors in Southside Mall, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, following a lengthy illness. He was born on Aug. 25, 1934, in Oneonta, the son of George and Bertha (Mereness) Briscoll. Upon his return from the Air Force, he worked as a salesman for Rudolph’s Jewelry Store.
