IN MEMORIAM: Lamont ‘Monty’ Smith, 77; Served Edmeston Central, General Dynamics EDMESTON – Lamont “Monty” W. Smith 77, of Edmeston, passed away on Feb. 2, 2019, in Cooperstown. Monty was born in October 1941 in New Berlin, the son of Bernard K and Edith (Wells) Smith. His childhood was spent in New Berlin. He was a 1959 graduate of New Berlin Central School.
