ACHIEVED, IDA SAYS

WEST ONEONTA

Otsego County’s first “shovel-ready site” may have been achieved last night.

The town Planning Board completed the required SEQRA process and
review of the proposed full-buildout of the remaining acreage in the newly named Oneonta Business Park. The site, owned by the Otsego County IDA and previously known as Pony Farms, received the approval for up to 400,000 square feet of mixed-used development.

Bob Hanft, Pierstown, the retired Wall Street banker, has been elected chairman of the Otsego County Industrial Development Agency board.

Meeting yesterday, the IDA accepted “with regret” the resignation of Sharon Oberitter of Fly Creek, retired founder, with husband Don, of the Cooperstown Bat Co., who had shepherded the IDA through its dramatic transition.
