COOPERSTOWN – Kyle Willard Bronson, beloved father, son, and friend to many, died tragically Tuesday, July 18, 2017, as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on County Highway 11 in the Town of Hartwick.  He was 28.

Born Jan. 19, 1989, at Bassett Hospital, Kyle was a son of Michael J. Bronson, Sr., and Patricia Mower Bronson.

Raised in Cooperstown, he graduated from Cooperstown Central School with the Class of 2008.  For the past seven years he had been employed as a residential counselor at Springbrook, where he was very well-respected and liked by the staff and residents alike.

HARTWICK – A 28-year-old Cooperstown man was killed yesterday in a mid-morning motorcycle crash  with a pickup truck in the Town of Hartwick.

He was identified as Kyle W. Bronson.  He was a 2007 graduate of Cooperstown Central, where he played football.

State Police said Bronson was eastbound on Route 11 heading toward Hartwick hamlet when he lost control of his 2010 Kawasaki and crossed into the westbound lane, striking a 2015 GMC Denali pickup truck.
